There is a new danger that threatens Hyrule
We are returning to the land of Hyrule sooner than you think. During its E3 Direct event, Nintendo took the opportunity to drop the first teaser trailer for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild, and boy is it creepy.
The trailer sees Link and Zelda exploring the deep caverns of Hyrlue when they stumble upon something unexpected. Some sort of mummified version of Ganon seems to be living underground with a glowing arm grabbing the corpse. It is here that the corpse wakes with blazing eyes and we pan out to a sweeping view of Hyrule that shows a new threat is in town.
Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi confirmed that the sequel is already in the works, but sadly did not reveal any additional details. We don’t know what the plot will be about or when we can expect the game to be released.
Regardless, we are already excited for the new Zelda game.
