These are all the Samsung devices getting Android 7.0 Nougat

Android Nougat-22

Samsung has already begun rolling out Android 7.0 updates for the Galaxy S7 series, but it has plans to bring Nougat to other devices, too. The South Korean company has now published a list of phones and tablets that can expect the upgrade this year.

In a post on its blog today, Samsung runs through a list of features and changes coming to its devices with Nougat. They include improvements to the quick settings panel and notifications drawer, enhanced multi-window support, and new performance modes.

The update also adds Samsung Pass, a feature that “works as a master key for website login on Samsung Internet” and lets users sign into their favorite sites using just their fingerprint. Samsung says it will also support mobile banking in the future.

At the bottom of the post, the company lists a bunch of devices that can expect to get a Nougat upgrade “within the first half of this year.” Here is that list:

  • Galaxy S6
  • Galaxy S6 edge
  • Galaxy S6 edge+
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy Tab A with S Pen
  • Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlocked)
  • Galaxy A3
  • Galaxy A8

Samsung doesn’t offer more specific release dates for its Nougat updates, so all we can do for now is wait for more information.

It’s also worth noting that other devices that aren’t on this list could get Nougat updates later this year — so don’t worry if yours doesn’t appear. If it’s under two years old, you have a good chance of getting an upgrade.
